Catching Up

Hello all!

This was another very succesful week. We had several shoots as we mentioned on our previous post. The weekend; however, was more laid back. We had a couple of cancelations such as the shoot at the carwash on Friday and the House of Blues. They say everything happens for a reason, in this case, the fact that we had the cancelations allowed us to CATCH UP. We caught up in what we think is one of the most important things to stay healthy and fresh - SLEEP. We slept more than 5hrs which for us has pretty much been impossible the past few weeks. We also caught up with editing, although not 100% done, we are pretty close to it and that makes us HAPPIER.

We have met awesome people as of recent weeks. Everyone has been a blast to work with and we love the new friends we've made. That being said, Marco Foster whom is an awesome model, is even a better friend. Being an IT guy, he noticed our computer was outdated and SSSSLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW at times. As the FAWESOME dude he is, he offered to build us one!! He put a list together with the parts he's using, and oh boy! this computer will have HUGE BALLS!! It's like putting a computer on steroids! Complimented by an awesome monitor, mouse and keyboard, this thing will fly! We're just working out final details and it should be set and ready to go in no time.

Today, we had the opportunity to put in more editing work, but also hang out with great friends and family. We went out to have wings, a burger and beer with our best friend and her boyfriend who happens to be a relative pf ours. We then decided to pickup ice-cream and make it a blockbuster night, all four of us. It was a great Sunday!

On a diferent note, we have had our facebook page up for 1 week and we are very excited to see that we have reached 100 "likes"!!!! Thank you for all your support!

We will continue to work hard, continue to be appreciative of all your support and we will continue to try out hardest to keep bringing you visual awesomeness throught this art we love called photography.

Awesomeness in progress

Exciting things happening here at Knapp Photography camp!

We have been on a roll! Back to back to back photo shoots, busy bees! We were fortunate enough to have shot once again with beautiful TeraLynn (see previous post for teaser). Then last night, we had the pleasure to have shot the entire new design line of truly talented and very well known in the local fashion industry (soon to be nation wide) Angelica AngelEyes Santoyo-Bernal! (http://angeleyesdesigns.com/)  5 models, 10+ BEAUTIFUL dresses/outfits with our very own WONDER WOMAN, Analise Ojeda working her magic with make up and hair. The models were: The hardest working model I know to date, beautiful Catherine Ivette (she practically shoots at least once a day including holidays and weekends), oh so wonderful Yesenia Hernandez, a true natural beauty. Gloria Goya made a late appearence and literally rocked the outfits with her beauty. Also, young guns SJ Bowen showed up and had the ladies excited for a while rocking a shirtless look. The one and only, Mr. Chicago Models group on facebook, Marco Foster was here doing what he does best and keeping everyone going with his awesomeness and humor. All in all, it was a BLAST and a huge success! I'm happy to say that Angelica is going to have a TOUGH job picking the images that are going on her website as are we!

Tomorrow we're shooting at the Chicago Lux Autospa (http://www.chicagoluxautospa.com/) again with beautiful Kelly Viol. These shots are potentially getting submitted to Maxim Magazine which makes us extremely excited. Wonder Woman will be there again doing wonders with hair and make up. Bikes, cars and models once again, WOOOO!

Also, after a few months of only getting a maximum of  4 hours of sleep a night, we HAD to take a very brief, but very much needed break today. So, Cuban dinner, red wine and live music made our night a success! As we were leaving, we left our business card along with the bill. Since we were being attended by the owner himself, as we were walking out he stopped us and made a brief, but heartfelt pitch about traveling to his beloved Cuba and doing a photo-documentary of what the naked eye doesn't see. Up in the mountains in coffee plantations, photographing as the workers pick the leaves. WE ARE STOKED! We shall keep you updated on that!

All in all it's been a PHENOMENAL week! and it's not over!

We keep the ball rollin!

Hello all!

We keep going and going like the energizer bunny! It's so awesome to be able to keep shooting and continue materializing our ideas. We are coming up with many different looks, set ups and  results. Today, we had 2 very accomplishing shoots. The 1st one was a straight boudoir and we ended up with AMAZING shots!
The 2nd one was a beauty photography shoot and WOW, just WOW.

We have also received excellent reviews on our portfolio and website from fellow photographers which makes extremely happy and boosts our confidence as well as awesome reviews from friends, models, family and acquaintances. We are very happy and excited. It makes us want to keep going and continue to produce high quality work for you. All your support is greatly appreciated.

We have several shoots to complete in the near future and we will keep you updated on the results. We will also update our portfolio regularly to keep things fresh.

Beauty

WE ARE HERE

Hello everyone!

We have finally set our footprint in the virtual world. Our 1st major goal of the year has been accomplished. In the past three weeks, we have visualized, prepared, tested, and executed a total 8 photo shoots, to have recent HIGH QUALITY images to post on our brand new WEBSITE. I am almost positive that you have visited it by now and I'd like to thank you for that, if you have not, please go check it out now http://www.knappphotographychicago.com/

We had our first high production photo shoot of the year, we materialized the idea we talked about in our previous post at the car wash. We shot for a total of 6 straight hours and 8 hrs. of work total from set-up to tear-down. This included two beautiful models (Anne Mendez and TeraLynn) our awesome hair stylist/make up artist Analise Ojeda, an OH SO PRETTY Aston Martin Vanquish, and 2 BAD ASS motorcycles. We worked HARD, but it was very well worth it. The images we ended up with are spectacular. The very next night we had another high production shoot at  The Sax hotel in downtown Chicago. This time we went for a more "intimate" idea and worked with 3 wonderful models (Melissa Shearer, Sarah Koppel and Marco Foster) whom executed our idea beautifully. Analise Ojeda provided us one more time with her magic in the hair and make up dept. We also had a private studio shoot with TeraLynn that lasted 5hrs! YES 5! we were having so much fun with different looks, outfits, poses, etc. that we just kept going! Needless to say, we are all very please with those images as well.

It has been hard work nonetheless, but it all has been extremely worth it. We are very pleased with the results of such hard work, and it motivates us to keep going and not stop for anything. Busy Week

Hello all!,

It's been a BUSY WEEK, like you have no idea, but also, extremely successful. We have found inspiration in the oddest place... a car wash! The shoot we have in mind is going to be awesome! We made contact with beautiful models whom are interested in working in this project as well as a hair stylist, makeup artist and we have full access to the space (after hours of course). The owner also has a variety of exotic cars and is willing to let us use one or two in the shoot. It's going to be great!

Also, we're very excited about our website being launched publicly within the next few days so stay tuned!
A new project is also in the works; a daily visual project where we're going to present you with a new image everyday for you to critique, like, dislike and if you'd like, purchase a print from us at a very low price as a thank you for following our Blog!

2011 is going to be an extraordinary year for us and we hope for you as well! Please feel free to contact us with any suggestions, questions, concerns or ideas. Please refer us to your friends; if we get hired through one of your referrals we'll make sure to give you a token of our appreciation!

The birth of this blog

Well everyone, it seems to be right time to start a blog for us. New year, new goals, new friends and well... NEW BLOG!

We are very excited with this year's goals as we have many! A lot of work will be required, but we're up for the challenge.

What will we talk about you ask? Well... pretty much everything and anything related to Knapp Photography; our goals, achievements, events we're attending, people we're shooting, techniques, moods, as well as random thoughts, advice, failures, and anything else that comes our way.

Make sure to keep up with this here good-looking blog, as it will be updated quite often (or as often as our busy schedules allow it). We will all have a great time. All comments, help, questions, complaints (hopefully none) will be welcomed and addressed promptly!
