DRAMA

Hello everyone!

Drama is quite simple to handle. All you have to do is, stay away from it, don't start it, pay no mind to it, and keep those who like it far from you. Life is way too short to worry about BS and waste your time with drama and dramaholics. THE DECISION IS YOURS.

We have been quite busy here at Knapp Photography. Between back to back to back sunrise photo shoots and events, and weddings and, and, and… yeah, life is beautiful! We embrace each and every single project with arms wide open. We love what we do and we want to make sure it shows in our work.

We have been lucky to have shot beautiful ladies whom are also extremely nice people. Thanks to the help of wonderful people such as Angie Prieto and Yoly Gomez the results were amazing. Each girl brings something different to the table and they all do it so graciously! Rachel Poole has such an amazing sense of humor that it made the shoot EXTRA fun! Zee Gustafson is so charismatic that makes work look like the best thing in the world! Audria Quinn was sooo easy to work with and so very down to earth that we hope to work with her again. Willow Faygenholtz brought her enthusiasm and beautiful looks again and magic happened! Thanks to all of the girls for being you! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We also had the chance once again of working with the very much talented band TrainWreck Symphony. Keep an eye out for these guys; they have amazing music!

Our work has been the key to many doors and we will continue to make sure we produce quality. We hope to be able to offer our services to you and you and yes of course you and you too!

Have an awesome day, evening, night, morning, week, month and LIFE everyone!

The Never Dying Effort

Hello Everyone!

It's been a while since we've had the chance to post, but we're back! We're continuously trying to improve our business and the time and effort put into it sometimes takes us away from the things we enjoy doing very much such as writing this here fine and dandy blog.

As any business, we have ran into walls, dead ends and duds, but we don't give up! We believe in the quality of our work and so do people. We're very happy to see that when one door closes another appears WIDE OPEN! With the help of friends and people we have became acquainted with in the past few months, KNAPP PHOTOGRAPHY keeps growing and improving. The wedding season has also been amazing! We have had the opportunity to witness and record the love shared by many couples as well as the EFFORT put into their celebration.

We have also worked with very talented and beautiful people recently and the results are FAWESOME! We had a couple of photoshoots with Anne Mendez and well, see the results for yourself! We also have lots of projects coming up and oh yeah, we've reached 600 likes on our facebook page! If you haven't already, please helps us reach the million!

We will continue to set goals for ourselves and our business and put our best effort into reaching them. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our blog and for being part of this fun and exciting journey with us.

Making the right move

Hello Everyone!!

Each and every day, we face challenges that need an immediate decision to be made; situations that can change everything from the outcome of what's happening to a change in our lives. Such situations often put us on a tight spot; in a state of mind where we have to make sure we MAKE THE RIGHT MOVE. Sometimes we don't even have enough time to think things through and we base our decisions on an instinct or a gut feeling and hope for the best. Once it's all over and we see the consequence of our decision is when we finally have time to see things clearly and decide whether we made the right move or not. In other instances, we have plenty of time to know what the right move is. We have the chance to make sure that we make the right decision for the best outcome, but even then we might make the wrong one. There are things that we can keep in mind in "making the right move". These are very basic things that will help us take the best route possible. Things such as: Will it affect me in a positive or negative way? Will it affect others negatively? Am I considering all angles? And most importantly, am I ready for the consequences? We're not saying you'll always have the time to think everything through before making a move, but you can at least try. One way or the other, we wish you the best in every single move you make.

We had an excellent photo shoot Monday with Junior's Hair Salon, Analise Ojeda was kind enough to recommend us to the owner and we made things happen. We worked with 4 different models and they all brought something to the table. Jacky Del Toro, Nicole Barrera, Osvaldo Del Toro and Jasmine Quintana all did an amazing job in front of the camera. The young, but talented Janet Del Toro (owner) has a very clear vision of what she needs to move things along in her salon and decided to do this shoot and use the images to advertise their talent and skills. She did an amazing job with the hair and Analise Ojeda matched it with the make up (as usual). Angelica-Angel Eyes Designs-Santoyo was kind enough to bring some of her beautiful outfits and well, and we created magic. Thank you very much to everyone involved!

We hope this blog is at the very least entertaining to you. We very much enjoy writing it and we very much appreciate you reading it. Have an amazing rest of your week and remember to be nice to others, eat your greens and exercise often.

Worth the Wait

They say that patience is a virtue and that great things happen to those who wait. We, at Knapp Photography have realized that this is actually true. Sometimes you want the great things to happen right after you plan them. Sometimes your excitement doesn't allow your idea to become reality due to a lack of patience so you leave that particular idea alone and move on to something that has a chance of happening sooner. Sure, some amazing things have happened over night, but more often than not, it takes patience and hard work for the FAMAZING to appear. We should never give up on our ideas/dreams just because they take longer than we wish. We should continue to work harder and/or wait for the right moment to strike. The best thing you can do is NOT give up. At the end, it will be all the hard work, waiting and patience that will make that particular dream/idea THAT much better!

Such was the case with yesterday's photo shoot. We wanted to do a photo shoot with Willow Faygenholtz since the day we met her which was back in February. For one reason or the other we couldn't do it. We didn't give up and her enthusiasm and ours finally made it happen and OH MY GOD! We're pretty sure DOVES CRIED somewhere in the world with so much FAWESOMENESS!! We shot at 3 very simple locations yet, the results are FINCREDIBLE!! Her modeling skills and beauty along with the ALWAYS FAMAZING work of Angie Prieto and Yoly Gomez made this an EXTREMELY successful photo shoot. We couldn't be happier with the results. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS!!

When we decided to start this here FUCKING FANTASTIC blog we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We figured a few updates here and there would do... YEAH RIGHT!! Not even a month into it, we were running out of topics to talk about and as much as you want to know what's going on in our world, we're pretty sure you can only read THAT MUCH of the same thing. So then we decided to touch on every day issues, things we all deal with that happen to all of us on regular basis. Well, we couldn't be happier with that decision. It has been a bit challenging at times, but we truly enjoy writing this blog. We sincerely thank you for taking the time to read it and we promise to keep improving and writing about things that interest you.

Don't forget to smile, life is way too short and your face looks ugly when you frown. Be nice and don't do to others what you don't want done to you, but at the same time don't let others do to you what you wouldn't do to them. Love hard, work hard and party harder. Life is beautiful as long as you try your hardest to make it that way.

Team Work

Hello all!

When it comes to running a successful business it is very important to have a solid and strong TEAM. A group of individuals that bring their talent and together FAWESOMENESS happens. It is understandable as well that some individuals work BEST alone and that is FAWESOME as well. However, if you're a person with a certain talent, but you're not great or even good at other things and someone else is capable to take care of the things you can't, then MAGIC begins to happen. Immediately, everything falls into place and things start moving along and as your business grows, more needs will arise and more people will be added to the team to make it an ALL STAR! So don't be afraid to admit to not be able to handle or be good at some of the needs your business requires, you may also not have the time to do them. So bring someone that has that particular talent and watch everything get better! At Knapp Photography, we know what our personal talents are and we each handle that side of our business, but we're also always willing to lay a hand in every other necessity the business may have. Helping each other out is also a huge part of a team; always helping out helps the business grow. So we ask you KIND people, how many team members do you have? How well do you get along? If you're a ONE member TEAM, tell us how you're able to handle everything on your own. We want to hear from other small businesses out there that like us, help each other out and are making things happen!

This week's news are big at Knapp Photography! As we grow as a team, well we realized that as a solid team and like many, many teams, we needed a mascot... that being said, we would like to introduce you to SHUTTER THE BULLDOG!

Shutter is a 3 month old English Bulldog that we adopted last week. The original owners could not keep him because they are moving to a new place where pets are not allowed. We promised them to care and love the puppy very much and they were kind enough to let us have him. He already had his first check up and his doctor said that although his breed is very difficult and has several health issues, Shutter is one HEALTHY PUP. She was so excited to have met him that she even took a picture with him. We will continuously post pictures and news about Shutter as we want to document his life as best as possible. So far he has been a great pup, knows how to sit, understands his name and will begin potty training as soon as his doctor gives us the green light to take him outside. We are very excited and happy to have Shutter as the new addition to our team!

We also had a great photo shoot yesterday for our friends at Color Me Salon whom needed some shots for the coming website, advertisement material and facebook page. We created magic! Some of the beautiful models we have already worked with were kind enough to come and help out. Nicole Barrera, Kaitlin Chin, Catherine Ivette and Loren were all there hanging out and having a great time.

We want to wish you all a great rest of your week, we hope everyone had an amazing weekend and we also want to wish all the mothers that read our blog a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Thank you for taking the time to read this here TEAM ORIENTED blog and we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy writing it.

P.S. Take a look at some of the images from yesterday's shoot.

Taking it to the next level

Hello all!
What does that mean to you? To us, it means trying extra hard at everything we do. Giving it that additional effort that will make things that much better. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to become a new entity or try WAY TOO hard to be noticed. It just means you have a task at hand or a goal to reach and you're going to exceed said goals with a positive impact and that the results will make you feel accomplished beyond the normal feeling of "getting it done". Also, that the product of the extra effort given will put you above general expectations and will make you stand out when others look at your work. We would like for everyone to try and TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. It is certain that positive attitudes and acts bring positive results; now add that extra effort into the mix and the results will most certainly put you on that next level.

Lots of positive things happening at Knapp Photography. We had an amazing photo shoot with Melissa Castro last weekend and the results are amazing. We also had the opportunity to work with Yolanda Carrasco who's makeup artistry is top notch. She presented us with an idea and together with Angie Prieto's help, we made it happen. At the end of the shoot, we all felt very good about the results. We found out Ken Patrick CEO of Beau Ideal has a contest going on where a winning model will receive a photo shoot with us! The interest it has sparked up has made us EXTREMELY excited and happy to see how many girls are interested in working with us. We took a small trip to Milwaukee this past Saturday and it was FUN. We even came across KNAPP ST! Now we just have to get the city of Chicago to name one Knapp Photography... hey, we can dream right!?

We truly appreciate you taking the time to read this here HUMBLE blog. We hope you have as much fun reading it as we do writing it. Please don't hesitate to comment or give us feedback and suggestions. We would very much like to hear from you.

Hope you all have an amazing rest of your week, be nice to others, enjoy each and every as much as possible, be thankful for what you have, floss daily and don't drink and drive!

To Care or not to Care

Hello Everyone!

Katiria DeJesus
"As humans we must remember that caring for others is a selfless act and may not always be reciprocated or appreciated. In the same turn always remember that someone is caring for you right now"

How much do we care? and how much do we care if the ones we care about, care about us as well. Does it even matter? A huge part of being human is how we show our feelings and who we show them to. Sometimes we get so caught up with everything that we don't care about anyone but ourselves. Depending on how we grew up, caring for others may be very important to you as your family and friends cared very much about you. But what happens when it's the opposite and you've had a rough life and pretty much no one cared? Does that mean we shouldn't care about others? Or should we learn from our own feelings and make sure we show how much we care as much as possible so the ones growing up will know how important it is. Maybe the second is a better choice. Life is a lot better when you care and as Katiria said, nothing should be expected in return as it should be a pure selfless act. Well, let's think about it, if we care for others and show it as much as possible, that makes us one FINE AND DANDY human being so it would be impossible for others not to care about us. Thank you Kat for caring enough to share such positive thoughts!

We had a very successful photo shoot on Monday at the Alhambra Palace and it showed very much in the feedback we received! All the hard work that everyone did was amazing. Angie Prieto from PM Chicago Salon MADE IT HAPPEN with the hair! and Jennipher Sakura Gonzalez WOWED us with the make up. The models Kaitlin Chin, Melissa Montesi and Erica Renee were right on point with EVERYTHING we asked of them AND MORE! Thank you all for an amazing morning! The images are, well... take a look for yourself and let us know how we did.
We have reached and passed 400 likes on our FB page which is not bad at all considering we only have been at it for a little over 3 months. We hope we hit a million soon (yes we aim high)
More projects are being presented to us and we love it. We're also coming up with more ideas and concepts ourselves so be on the look out for some great images coming soon!

We would like to give special thanks to Analise Ojeda for being with us since DAY ONE. Our photography would not be the same without her talent behind the scenes using her WONDER WOMAN powers with hair and make up. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU VERY MUCH Analise, you rock!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this here CARING blog and for all the support. We hope your life is filled with love, health and work as everything else comes along with those 3. Take care and we'll see you soon!

Earth Day

Hello everyone!

What does Earth Day mean to you? Does it really make a difference in your week/life? When was the last time you cared about your surroundings and this planet we live on? There is way to much to cover under this subject yet the importance of this day is very basic. We need to start caring more about how we treat Earth weather we want to or not. Every single one of us is responsible for the damage we've caused and it's time we take some type of initiative to make it better, it's that simple. Let's all find a way to help.

We have been on the move at Knapp Photography! We have covered and attended some very important events such as Hair Wars and Story From A New Friend featuring Angela Rose from PAVE which is something we'll talk more about on our next blog entry. We're also excited to announce that we are now the official photography team for Kevin Conroy Smith His vision and projects are so powerful and we are honored to be part of it. Check out his website to see for yourself the great person he his along with his entire team.

It's been a great week and now we're lining up for the weekend ready for new projects. We wish all of a fun and safe weekend. Don't forget to be nice to others, love the ones who love you and to tip the valet parking guy. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this here CARING blog and hope to read your comments.

What did you achieve?

Hello everyone!

Goals and achievements are an amazing thing as long as they're positive. So at the end of every week we should take a moment and think about what goals we set out to achieve this week, be happy for the ones we've succeeded on and find the reason why we couldn't reach the rest. If you find out you've achieved all of them, then that is PHENOMENAL and you should hug yourself! This week, as every week, we set out to write this here HANDY blog which at times becomes VERY difficult to do because of many reasons. But this week we made it! Three entries in the week! We also got caught up with editing, we have new clients and have managed to set more goals for next week. So we ask you FINE AND DANDY people, what goals did you set for yourself this week? Which did you accomplish and which couldn't be accomplished? SHARE WITH US! It's an amazing thing to set short term goals for ourselves. It keeps us motivated, gives us something to look forward to and makes us feel ACCOMPLISHED once they're done. It also helps us get closer to our long term goals, makes life easier and makes us happy. GIVE IT A TRY, YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Knapp Photography has become the official photographer for Beau Ideal  which is quite an honor. There are many major events coming from CEO Ken Patrick and everyone involved that will blow your mind! Like their page and stay tuned! Our high fashion series of photo shoots are coming starting next week as well. We'll update you on the details and progress through this here INFORMATIVE blog.

We wish you all a very happy weekend and enjoy each and every single day. Live a full and happy life and be safe.
